wetin Nyma dey yarn sef…#Confused
I agree with Nyma not because of what the holy Bible or holy Quran say but because; 1.a mother is a "a woman in relation to a child or children to whom she has given birth." 2. a father is the person whose genetic material the child inherited, either as a result of natural conception or sperm donation. whereas, In humans, a parent is the caretaker of a child (where "child" refers to offspring, not necessarily age.) So u see, a mother and/or a father can also be parent(s), however a parent can never be a mother or father for mother/father is base on DNA whereas parent(s) is base on roles(care taking).
Nyma is arguing like someone who memorized a book in school but did not learn the meaning. A child is not property owned by either parent no matter what a book from millennia ago says. Parents abuse and kill their children and some outsiders are at times, better parents.
The caller, Seyi, called to share the DANGER of a parent who walked away returning out of the blue only to violate the child. Those who have been doing their work have genuine questions to ask and if they have sense, they should be very skeptical especially when you start using "In Jesus name" or "wallahi talai" to manipulate them.
It’s unfortunate, a child suffered more than both parents when the love has gone sour between the two. Without being too judgmental who’s right and wrong between the boyfriend and girlfriend relationship, woman tends used a child as PAWN to get what she wanted from the man; if she didn’t get her ways, the child feeling, joy, growing up, is psychologically emotionally damaged in the broken relationship by his kin. While there is an irresponsible woman; so do to the man who comes from irresponsible home. Stop using a child as a commodity no matter what goes wrong in love affairs that goes downhill.
Nyma must learn to pretend a little bit. Emotions and religion be clouds our good judgment.
Praise Fowowe is on point. That you are a biological father and never there for the child doesn’t mean you have a right over that child.
I hope Nyma heard Seyis’ story how her own biological father violated her yet her foster father did not do that to her but rather took care of her. So Nyma when you say that an absentee father should not be denied his right as a biological father I’m just wondering.
