I seen tht vlog and at first i got excited bc the sound she made but then i remembered she’s non verbal, but either way abbie is perfect in every way. She’s unique with the ability to love, teach, and respond in her own way.

I have a friend who has 2 autistic children and they are kinda like Abby. They do say a couple things but not much. So I understand the nonverbal part of it. Abby seems like a good girl too. She’s a sweetheart.

You guys truly seem to have Abbi’s best interest at heart. I’ve heard a lot of cases of parents with autistic children mistreating their children and blaming them for their autistic traits. I’m so glad to see parents who seem to love their child no matter what!

Our families always think my son talks. It’s so hard to explain to them that its him mimicking sounds, not actual words. They all refuse to believe me, even with our speech therapists and special education therapists giving the explanations. Believe me, I cannot wait for my almost 5 year old to talk actual sentences and more than mimicking…but being made to feel less because they think I’m "labeling" him as non verbal kind of sucks.
U can almost bet her first word if she finds it will b candy lol!

We live on playdoh, but he’s 5. You should google a quick recipe and have her help make a loaf of bread. Texture from flour and sticky dough and deep pressing from kneading would be awesome sensory input, you get to skip most of the hard part, and a tasty treat afterwards to celebrate.

if i were abbie tbh i would getting irratated with them always pulling on me or always saying do this do thats .,! that would irratated me like i get so angry they treat her as if she just can’t chill out on her own like i get annoyed when the lady pulls her

She lives in the UK with her own son who had autism…but with the research that she did she was able to help her son recover from autism. I’ve been watching your vlogs since forever and it’s only now i’ve thought of a question…have you or do you ever explain to Abi why you tell her to do certain things? Eg. Putting the milk away to keep it fresh. Of you do do you think it helps her to comprehend the task and make her more likely to do it?

Since I’m a newbie to the autism world, what is the therapy called that focuses on sensory food therapy? My son will only eat maybe 6 foods, will gag and vomit at the sight of a food he doesn’t like. Every day i feel like he’s refusing one of the foods he like and I’m sure it’s boredom. Any ASD parents have the same issue? Also so happy Priscilla is coming back today! Ab probably loved her dad time though.

ma friend (16) has regressed to round the age of 2-3 an the special school he goes to has diagnosed him with autism, he has got lots of shit wrong with him an has a service/working dog an when he’s having a bit of breakdown/melt down if he lays down or we get him to lay down we get the dog to lay her head/body ontop of him an then get him to pet the dog an it calms down very quick but that is if he’s in a listening kind of day/mood lmao
