O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified. Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? Did you suffer so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain? Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith—just as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”?
Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you shall all the nations be blessed.” So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

    Really well done.

I just turned 47, I became a Christian when I was 6. I went through a legalistic home and I just never measured up regardless of how much I obeyed and regardless of how many honour roles were decorated with my name, my parents still ruled with an iron law and claimed I was completely disrespectful, difficult to raise etc. etc. etc. It took me many years to figure out that I was a co-dependent, eager to please and this environment was so toxic. God helped me heal from this but it was a difficult journey because of all the false doctrine that had to be corrected.

So I lived what is being taught here and just simply could not agree more because my parents were all about legalism and although they accused us children of disrespect and disobedience it was actually because of all the lies they told themselves which not only pushed us away but killed all contact and it took them 41 years to figure it all out and change their ways. Good thing is they are able to understand now the relationships are being repaired. Don’t be one of those parents that just cannot or does not want to be self accountable! You will pay in the long run not your children they will be blessed if they actually are obeying God, he will bless them and you won’t be able to partake in that blessing.

I hope that someone listens to this and recognizes how much truth there is in what is being shared here.
