I watched a show were they examined a surfer get attacked and half a dozen dolphins help him they interview a dolphin expert & she said that she tested a dolphin & he could recognize himself in the mirror & that humans develop self recognition the same time they develop empathy .. Therefore the dolphins felt sorry 4 the man & rescued him so awesome

I know. I’m in film school and my non fiction teacher had us watch it. I will never go to or look at sea world, marine land or any other place like that the same again. It’s absolutely terrible.

@halflifefan84 The slaughter remains in existence not because of "culture" but because the "fisherman" of Taiji work for marine parks.The dolphins they don’t kill are sold to marine parks. They make money off that, its all about money! ‘The cove’ is a great documentary about what is going on.
i know dolphins are our friends… They rarely do anything bad!

Ok, just stupid.
When did I mention ”killing sharks”? The answer is ”no”. ”Mysterious unknown animal”?
1. They ARE known. How would we know what they are?
2. Mysterious? Incredible natural aptitude? That is basically ignoring other creatures.
3. Never sick because of his amazing physiology? Sharks are fish. Their organisms are not that unique.
And do you even know what would happen if all dolphins would die? The natural balance of the oceans would be ruined.
I had to watch that video at school it made me cry just awful.
dolhpins communicate on a highly sophisticated level see how they use sonar to detect where the food is after tricking the food with their sounds initialy. They cooperate better than most humans who fight each other for food

@nancyg10 i think it’s their culture to eat dolphin… they probably dont know about how cute/intelligent dolphins really are when the tradition was created…. like a gazillion years ago considering japan is a very old country. Just like now in the state where we SLAUGHTER cows for our TRADITIONAL food of steak, hamburgers, meat eating frenzy in general, all the while in India where they consider cows as god, are disgusted by our actions and treatment of the cows… such is life 🙂
